Prairies Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Cahokia, Illinois.
The Prairies golf course first opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Dick Gundlach.
The Prairies is an 18-hole municipal golf course owned by the Village of Cahokia. The Prairies is a link-style golf course with water coming into play on half of the holes. Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens are The Prairies' turf choices. The Prairies is set in the back of Cahokia park, cut out of the woods and natral wetlands. The praires is a par 71 golf course with four sets of tees to choose from. 6600 yards are the championship tees, 6300 regular tees, 5900 senior tees and 5400 women tees.
The Prairies has a driving range with both grass tees and covered tees. Two putting greens are also available next to The Prairies clubhouse and pro shop.
The prairies is open year round any time the temperature is above freezing.
Senior (50+)rates $22 for 18 holes with a cart Monday thru Friday anytime. Mondays play all day for $25. Twilight after 1PM - $25 play 18 with a cart. Weekend rates of $37 with a cart. Weekday rate of $30 for 18 holes with a cart.
